Hey!

I'm Jess, my journey into UX/UI started at Bankwest, where I began as a tech graduate. During my rotations through various teams, a six-month stint in the UX team left a lasting impression on me. I learned to conduct user research, design workflows, and create intuitive interfaces, all while offering a unique perspective as a developer.

Even after transitioning to a full-time mobile developer role, my passion for UX never waned. A year later, my former team lead reached out with an opportunity to return to UX, and I made the leap—landing the role and fully embracing my passion for design.

Since then, I’ve worked on a diverse range of UX projects, from web to mobile apps, for both large financial institutions and agile startups. My background in development brings a methodical, data-driven approach to my design work.

I’m passionate about collaborating closely with development teams, ensuring that every step of the process is aligned and efficient. I’m driven by curiosity about user behavior and find fulfillment in designing thoughtful, functional solutions that genuinely serve people’s needs.

Outside of work I enjoy:

Getting lost in a good RPG (I definitely go feral for a great storyline)

Owning the karaoke stage with some questionable but enthusiastic performances

Slowly but surely ticking off my world travel bucket list—9 countries down, many more to go
